The Virginia Youth Soccer Association today announced the launch of VYSA Gaming (tm pending) that will offer VYSA’s 130,000 players under the age of 18 access to their own Members League to participate in online tournaments as well as live events. VYSA Gaming will also offer an Adult League for both members and non-members with access to online tournaments and live events.
The youth Members League (ML) will launch with an online FIFA20 Tournament the weekend of November 16-17, 2019. The Adult League (AL) will kick off the weekend of November 23-24, 2019 also with a FIFA20 Tournament. Registration is now open for both PS4 and XBox weekends for the ML and AL Online Tournaments. Prizes will include PS4 and Xbox gift cards as well as free entry into the VYSA Gaming FIFA20 Cup Live Event that will be held on January 11th, 2020. The live event will crown both a Youth Member League Champion and Adult League Champion with winners facing off against DC United Professional eMLS player, Renato Zanelli in a competitive friendly. VYSA Gaming has partnered with ESports Fair Play, leader in the e-gaming field for logistical and media support. Future plans for VYSA Gaming include encouraging member clubs to add esport teams and organizing state-wide, regional and national youth soccer esport events.
